Public and Local Transport

Trains

There is a train station in Bradford on Avon (2.5 miles) with regular trains departing to Bath, Bristol Temple Meads, Westbury, Weymouth, Salisbury and Bournemouth.  Bath Spa (5 miles) is another well-connected station with routes across the country and regularly in and out of London.

More local train stations (some request) are at Limpley Stoke (1 mile), Freshford (2.5 miles) and Avoncliff (1 mile).

Buses

Bus numbers are currently the 264 and 265 that run from Bath to Warminster and Salisbury via Winsley and Bradford on Avon every 30 minutes throughout the day.

The most convenient bus stop (but not mentioned on the timetable) is Avon Park Retirement Village. Two different bus routes serve Winsley but ALL buses stop here.  The stop is a 500-metre walk.  Turn right from Church Farm (towards Bath) and you will see a bus shelter on the left.  Timetables are usually available in the porch of Church Farm.

Airports

Bristol International Airport is the closest being 24 miles from Church Farm (45 minute journey). Has many international flights on offer with various carriers. Good options for trains buses and taxis from here.

Heathrow International is around 99 miles from us (around 1hr 50mins) and is one of the largest airports in the world. Train services run regularly and National Express Buses go to Bath Spa regularly at £21 one-way.
