We’re just 5 miles from the World Heritage City of Bath and 2 miles from the picturesque market town of Bradford on Avon. Our cottages are surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty filled with Cotswold stone walls and country lanes, perfect for walking and cycling. Our location provides our guests with a wealth of attractions, even on a rainy day!
The Bowles family farm
The farm is still a working farm and has breeding ewes and lambs. Spring lambing starts on 25th March so look out for the new arrivals in the fields surrounding Church Farm. Two llamas 'Fraser' and 'Spruce', a horse 'Corky' and a chocolate labrador 'Millie' also live at Church Farm. Our lamb is reared and sold at Hartley Farm shop (next door).
The Bowles family have been farming in Winsley for over 200 years and in the area since the late 1400's. Great Grandfather Bowles also used to own the Village Pub. Winsley is a wonderful place to live and the ideal place to stay when visiting the South West.
The cottages
Our seven tastefully furnished single-storey cottages have been converted from old cow byres. Comfortable and cosy, they’re themed for the countryside and named after fields on the farm. They are ideal for couples, business breaks and for groups of family and friends.
Excellent local shop, pub and farm shop/cafe
We have a large village co-operative shop/newsagent/off licence, Hartley Farm shop/cafe and The Seven Stars pub all under 500 metres.
Cream teas aren’t just for Devon
You will be greeted with a warm welcome and a locally-produced cream tea on your arrival. Uncle Geoff provides the clotted cream from his Jersey herd in Beckington at Ivy House Farm.
We hope to see you at Church Farm soon.
