Useful Information - Walking & Cycling

 

Walkers:

The area is full of fantastic cycling and walking routes. The Kennet & Avon Canal less than a mile down Winsley Hill and miles of country lanes and footpaths surround the farm. We also have various maps of the local area, with footpaths and cycle routes. So please do ask, if interested.

We have recently had some walks created by Nigel Vile, an experienced walkers author, who has offered some varied and exciting walks in and around Winsley. These go via Church Farm, Hartley Farm Shop and the occasional public house. You can open the PDFs below, to view these. We will also provide some in the cottages and they can also be printed at the office.

Cyclists:

We are fortunate to have some of the countrys best cycle paths and country lanes to navigate during your visit to Winsley. Less than a mile down Winsley Hill (its a big one!) is the Kennet & Avon canal (seen below) making trips into Bath or Bradford on Avon very easy, traffic free and fun. It also provides numerous cafes and pubs to refuel.

You are also welcome to wind the peaceful country lanes from the farm, with each season providing varying sights and smells! Just ask at reception for maps and brochures on the cycle paths available.

We have a lockable, undercover storage shed for your bikes if you require it and we will be happy to help you with them on your arrival.
