Bradford on Avon
There is so much to do here, often described as a ‘mini-Bath’.
Walking around and admiring the beautiful architecture, stopping off in quaint cafes to warm up, or pubs if you prefer – Bradford on Avon has it all!
Make sure you venture as far as Tithe Barn – again lovely architecture, but some gift shops too.
Kennet and Avon Canal
A fantastic day-out for walkers, cyclists, boaters. The Kennet and Avon canal goes towards Bath and Bradford-on-Avon.
Enjoy stops en route, whether it is to view the scenery or refuel in a cafe/pub.

Just a stone's throw away, Bradford-on-Avon served as the picturesque backdrop for Downton Abbey (2019) and Robin of Sherwood (1986).
Bath has become a star in its own right, with numerous locations featured throughout all seasons of Bridgerton (Netflix 2020 - present), especially the beautiful Holburne Museum and Abbey Green. Not to forget, Wonka (2023) was filmed in the delightful Parade Gardens and along Walcot Street! Stonehenge
These iconic rocks are well worth a visit. A lot of history is locked up in how these stones have been shaped, how they appeared there and when. Be sure to take your camera! Also look out for special events.
Tie in a visit to Stonehenge with a trip to Salisbury and it’s stunning cathedral. A great day out.
Westonbirt Arboretum
Westonbirt is a fantastic trip for all the family to discover and learn about 15,000 specimens of trees from all over the world. If you turn up not knowing a huge amount about trees then you will leave completely inspired. Great activities for kids too.
Bowood House & Gardens
Bowood has it all, there is something for everyone. House and gardens for the those of you horticultural lovers as well as a popular adventure playground for the kids to enjoy. Also not forgetting the spa, restaurant and golf course.
